  4. 1. SPLIT-MERGE software package has 3 files:
  5.     - SPLITTER.EXE
  6.     - VBRUN300.DLL
  7.     - README.TXT
  8.  
  9.    You should see these files after decompressing SPLIT-MASTER.
  10.    Files SPLITTER.EXE and VBRUN300.DLL should be in the same directory
  11.    or you may move VBRUN300.DLL to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\VBRUN300.DLL

  14. 2. SPLIT-MASTER is a 16-bit software which works on any Windows based systems such as:
  15.     - Windows 3.1
  16.     - Windows for Workgroups
  17.     - Windows 95
  18.     - Windows NT

  21. 3. To setup SPLIT-MASTER simply add a new item in any Windows Program Group. 
  22.    Name it as you wish, and set the path and file name to SPLITTER.EXE
  23.

  25. 4. Hardware requirements:
  26.     - 286 or higher
  27.     - 1 Mb RAM or more
  28.  
  29.  
  30. 5. SPLIT-MASTER is a easy to use tool to transfer large file(s) from one computer to
  31.    another. SPLIT-MASTER will split any "MASTER" file to floppy disk, filling every 
  32.    floppy to the maximum space available.  You can then merge the entire MASTER file
  33.    from all the floppies back onto the PC of your choice.

  35. INSTRUCTIONS
  36.  
  37.    To split a file: 
  38.       - Select a drive
  39.     - Select a directory
  40.     - Select a "MASTER" file
  41.     - Choose a destination drive such as 'Drive A:' or 'Drive B:'
  42.         - Click on 'Split' button
  43.    It is important to number or remember which order you inserted the floppies.

  45.    To merge a split file: 
  46.     - Select input drive (A: or B:)
  47.     - Select a directory
  48.     - Select a file which is located on floppy disk #1
  49.     - Input full path and file name of future MASTER file in the box 'Merge To'
  50.     - Click 'Merge' button
